Papou Elias is a brand of the company Balou&Pirot, an association between Bartzos Paul - chef de cuisine, Loumaye Gilles - supply and logistics and Pirlot Loïc - administrator.

Papou Elias is a Belgian-Greek company which encourages you discover the Greek Mezze, "mezze" which means "in the middle", in the middle of a good table between friends, colleagues or just solo.

In Greece and in other Mediterranean countries, the art of the table is to share, to arrange a variety of the most delicious and refined dishes in the middle of the table and to converse while eating.

We have decided to take you on a gastronomic journey to the very heart of the Mediterranean, starting with Greece, by offering you "Mezze" to be enjoyed alone or with friends.

Concerned about the quality of the food and ingredients that we process, we have opted for a pesticide-free, organic diet for over 10 years!

The recipes are those of Pavlos, our home-made Belgian-Greek and often of family or traditional origin allow you a total gastronomic immersion in the Mediterranean "mezzo terra".

We have chosen to set up our production in the very heart of Europe, in Belgium's beautiful Walloon region, and our ingredients are local, except for the raw materials, which come from southern Europe.

Your Papou Elias "Mezze" are packaged in a protective atmosphere, which we consider to be the most delicate way to keep your mezze in impeccable quality and preservation.

You can find our products in your organic grocery shops in Belgium and as we often organise tastings there, don't hesitate to ask for them, we love it!

Our products are distributed by the company Bionaturels. We chose this Belgian distributor for reasons of ethical compatibility since we totally share their philosophy in terms of traceability, short circuits, coherence on the origin of ingredients, strict selection criteria and concern for the interest of the final consumer.
